SMCRF successfully organized “Training on Small Mammals Taxonomy and Field Techniques 2023” from 9-12 February 2023, followed by a five-day field practical session. The motto of such trainings is to equip younger generations with the knowledge of research methods and techniques to study and conserve the most neglected group of fauna “small mammals”. The fifteen trainees mostly included university students and graduates with few working professionals from the related field. Many of them have been involved in small mammal field works conducted by SMCRF since the training.
