The project was partially supported by Mohamed bin Zayed Species Conservation Fund and Panthera. In this project we conducted Community meeting and Conservation Awareness Program with local stakeholders and government authorities. We formed committee to develop conservation cooperative with seed money to support fish farmers and encourage them towards fishing cat conservation. We used Camera Trapping methods to understand the frequency of fishing cat to the local fish ponds to estimate the loss of fish from the ponds. Similarly, a policy brief on fishing cat conservation was formed and present at the National meeting to get feed backs from concern authorities, academicians, researchers and conservationists. A video documentary was made at the end of the project with all the activities during the project.
